Teacher From Westchester Faces Child Porn Charge

A man from Westchester who works as a special education teacher in the Bronx has been arraigned on child pornography charges alleging that he had images of girls under the age of 10 on his computer, according to the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office.

Tyler Davidson, 37, was arraigned in New Rochelle City Court this week after investigators executed a search warrant at his home, seizing his computer, which allegedly had the photos of the minors.

Davidson was charged with one count of obscene sexual performance by a child and one count of possessing an obscene performance by a child, officials stated. He previously an educator at Lewis and Clark High School in the Bronx.

According to a release, suspicious activity regarding Davidson’s email account was flagged in October last year, leading to the investigation. The District Attorney’s Office was alerted to the suspicious activity by the Internet Crimes Against Children’s Task Force. The warrant was executed this week.

Davidson is due back in court on March 15 to answer the charges. He faces up to seven years in prison.
